Anticoagulation
Barnet Federated GPs were awarded the provision of the Community Anticoagulation Service.
This new service commenced on 1st April 2019 and is Pharmacist led community service which is responsible for the monitoring and management of people who take oral anticoagulant drugs.
The aim is to work with patients, carers and other health care professionals to improve the safety of these patients.
The service offers specialist advice on all issues related to anticoagulant therapies. and provides ongoing monitoring for patients on anticoagulants.
The clinics for near patient testing, will run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the following locations:
- The Speedwell Practice, 16 Torrington Park, London N12 9SS (Thursdays)
- Oak Lodge Medical Centre, 234 Burnt Oak Broadway, Edgware HA8 0AP (Wednesdays)
- PHGH Doctors, Temple Fortune Health Centre, 23 Temple Fortune Lane, London, NW11 7TE (Tuesdays to start from 1st July)
Your GP will refer you to this service.
